VIET CUTURE SPACE

          In 2008, Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre (formerly known as Vietnam Song, Dance and Music Theater) was assigned to manage and use building at 16 Le Thai To Str., (79 Hang Trong), Hoan Kiem Dist., Hanoi by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Called “Vietn Culturle Space”, the building is located in a central location of the capital with two front and open space - an ancient building built with France architecture in 1918, located beside Hoan Kiem historial lake. The building served as the first headquarters of the 1st National Assembly of Vietnam Democratic Republic. In addition, it is also proud to be chosen to perform Arts, Dance, Music serving many international delegations of leaders of the Party, the State and mass programs.

With the style of Frence architecture blends with Vietnam traditional handicraft architecture, Viet Culture Space building is elegant, harmony of color and ancient.

          Viet Culture Space” is not only Dong Kinh auditorium with a capacity of over 250 seats which is designed as miniature theatre (a ground floor and a mezzanine) but also it is a complex building about culture and cuisine with nearly 3,800 m2 consists of total building area and garden area, surrounded by 16 Le Thai To Street and 79 Hang Trong Street.

           With the advantages of geographical advantages and inherent space, “Viet Culture Space” will always be the appropriate place for the success of many activities, programs, cultural exchanges and more develop in the future.

VIET CULTURE SPACE -  THE NEW STAGE OF LOTUS WATER PUPPET

        In order to create diversity in the types of art and meet the increasing demands of ethnic enjoy art, bringing unique cultural tourists Vietnam to international friends as well as numerous people in Vietnam , from September 2013, “Viet Culture Space” is offical place where performes the special water puppet performances called “Lotus Water Puppet”.

 

          “Lotus Water Puppet” is a performace with many highly experienced artists and musicians from many traditional craft villages in the country. Under the keen eye of the talented directors, unique traditional art of water puppetry only in Vietnam only to be “Lotus Water Puppet” is known as a breath of new style, not only traditional and a little contemporary , but also close to the new lifestyle .
           Lotus Water Puppet has excellent performances daily at: 2:45pm; 4:00pm; 5:15 pm; 6:30pm and receive schedule to request.
